Life can be a real beach, so we came up with this powerful antioxidant smoothie as the perfect pick-me-up. We call this the “Tropicanta Smoothie” because we are highlighting our secret ingredient in order to make the best tropical smoothie at home – cantaloupe! This smoothie can be whatever you want it to be – your morning breakfast on-the-go, a post-workout refuel with added protein, or an ‘I-just-want-a-smoothie-and-don’t-need-a-reason’ kind of mood. Regardless of how you take it, we are giving you the basics and you are welcome to build from here!
Ingredients:
– 1 cup cantaloupe, sliced small chunks
– 1/2 cup coconut milk
– ½ banana
– 1 tsp. agave nectar
– 1 Tbs. ground flaxseed
– Ice
– Mint
*Place glass in freezer for ten minutes while preparing the smoothie
*Wash the outside of your cantaloupe before cutting into it. Slice cantaloupe into small chunks to be easily blended.
In blender, add coconut milk, cantaloupe, and banana. Blend ¾ thoroughly.
Add in agave nectar, flaxseed, and ice (a few cubes).
Add in one mint leaf.
Blend until smoothie forms based on how you prefer the texture.
Pour into a frothy glass and add a sprig of mint leaves on top.
